Radiation Worker, Plant Access, and Fitness For Duty and the main 3 learning modules that require tests that prospective employees must pass in order to work in a nuclear power plant. During training these modules are taken as "Computer Based Training". Although the information is not inherently difficult, there is a lot of it. Taking some time to review these study guides before training will significantly help with terminology and concepts, greatly increasing the liklihood of understanding the concepts and passing the training.

It is HIGHLY recommended to study Radiation Worker prior to arriving on site after being hired. The computer based testing for these classes must be passed with 80%. Everyone is allowed a 2nd attempt and in certain circumstances the plant will approve a 3rd attempt. People who do not pass training will not be able to be employed with us. Last Spring we had 5 people (out of roughly 100 new to nuclear hires) fail their final attempts at Radworker and were unable to work the outage. Having some knowledge from the Radiation Worker Study Guide will make passing the test much easier. It is a lot of information and a lot of terminology, which is difficult to learn in the span of a few hours right before testing. Please utilize this resource.
